Ms. L - Finding Confidence in Curves

A dedicated mother of four, Ms. L balances the demands of work & being a full-time student! She gives so much in everything she does, sometimes little energy remains for herself. She came to Ryan Reid Photography to find the acceptance and self-love she most defintely deserves.

Q: Have you ever done a boudoir shoot before?

A: This was my first time ever, and it was a wonderful experience!

Q: Why did you do your boudoir shoot?

A: For years I have struggled with body dysmorphia like most women. I often struggle to accept compliments and appreciate what I have. This photoshoot was to see me the way others see me and part of my path to self-love and acceptance.

Q: What was your favorite part of the session?

A: My favorite part of the session was really the whole experience. The room we used to shoot had just the right feel for the shoot.

Q: What did doing this shoot do for your self-confidence, self-worth, and self-image?

A: I feel like this experience gave me more confidence in my curves and an appreciation for the body I have. It's all too easy to focus on the body we want, but this shoot helped me to love my body now. I find that looking at these amazing photos gives me the motivation to practice more self-care, self-awareness, and reminds me that I deserve everything life has to offer. Life is one size fits all.

Q: Was your experience what you were expecting?

A: Well I think the vulnerability I experienced was stronger than I thought it would be, showing the most skin I ever have in front of a camera. But that vulnerability was just a conduit to becoming stronger and loving myself more.

Q: What was the best part of your experience? Would you change anything?

A: The best part of my experience was the reveal of my photos. I am amazed at the quality and the attention to details. I wouldn't change a thing!

I would recommend this to all my friends and have been! Everyone has hang-ups about their body, but overcoming those hang-ups leads to awesome growth mentally and emotionally!
